One day I was
running around town,
to the bank,
to the store,
to the school.
And I was listening
to talk radio.
Every time I got
back in the car,
and the radio
came on,
I heard complaining.
Complaining about unfairness,
and politics, and life.
It was all about
contention,
and it was all negative.
I guess that
contention, and fear,
and unfairness
are what makes news.
I decided that I want to
do something different.
I want to look for good.
I know it is all around me.
But I don't think
I've noticed it much lately.
So I set a goal.
Every day for a year
I'm going to look for
something good. . . .
and write about it.
What brings me happiness?
What uplifts me
and makes me feel joyful?
In the thick of life's stuff,
is there something good?
I'm going to document my quest
here at A Year of Happy.
Follow along, and I hope
it will make you happy too!
Do you have an idea
of something good
I should write about?
Have you seen
goodness in action?
Send me an email
and share your ideas!
