laugh--the earlier the better

A came home from school yesterday
in such a happy mood.
It could be
because he pulled off
some really good grades
for second term.

But he thinks
it was because
he and his two buddies E and J
had a really good laugh
during first period.

He said, "Mom, I've never
laughed so hard
that early in the morning!"

Maybe he's got something.

I never laugh early in the morning,
and I really don't laugh
often enough.

So this morning
I'm making a list of some things
that make me laugh.

Here are just a few:

Being with my sisters. They are so much fun, and there's just something about being together--are we reverting back to the inner child? Maybe--but whatever it is, it's good medicine!

Babies and little kids can definitely get me laughing...the funny things they say and do, and the way they belly laugh with no inhibitions. I love that!

Have you read these books by Richard Peck? "A Long Way from Chicage" and "A Year Down Yonder" make me laugh out loud. Especially the first time I read them, but re-reading is almost as good.

I've seen this video quite a few times--and you probably have too--but it still makes me laugh every time.
