This blog is at a crossroads.
And I'm not sure where to go from here.
I feel that this blog has become
very superficial.
It's not because there
isn't anything to write about.
It's because
I'm avoiding writing about
the really good stuff.
And there are reasons for that.
- As I've looked for good things to write about over the past two months, I've found that the really good stuff is usually about people. This world is filled with wonderful people who are doing really great things. Is it okay to write about them and post their photos without their permission? Would they prefer that I don't share their goodness with the world online? If I want to tell about them, do I need to have them sign something--kind-of ruins the moment don't you think?
- Because of reason #1 and some other very valid reasons, I haven't been able to tell much about our humanitarian experiences--which has left me with showing you the scenery of Central America. It's beautiful...but there is only so much I can say about it. And it really isn't the story, is it?
- I'm not sure where I want to draw the line between what's private and personal and what I want to share with you. So I've been extra careful--and thus boring and superficial. I'm in a quandary.
.
There you have it. In a nutshell.
.
I'm going to take
a few days off
to figure out
what to do about it.
I'd love your input.
How do you feel about
blogging?
How do you feel
about sharing so much
of yourself
with the world?
How do you feel
about what you read
here and on
other blogs?
