Today
I am in
El Salvador
at the end of a
wonderful humanitarian
experience.
On this last day of our trip,
we had a day of
rest and
recuperation.
We ate the
El Salvadoran version
of a hamburger...
played on the
reef....
and bought some jewelry
from this cute little lady
on the beach.
She keeps the
earrings
in the pockets of
her apron --
the women wear aprons a lot.
We saw
lizards...
and laid on the beach...
and watched the clouds...
(how long has it been
since I've
done that?!)
It was so great
to feel the sand
between my toes...
and it's almost
December!
But the best part
was the
nature therapy...
the beautiful trees and flowers...
the sound of the waves
and surf splashing
against the rocks and sand...
and the glorious
sunset.
This day should
get me
through
until spring!
