I know a
young couple
with one cute
little baby....
...money is
pretty
tight
at their house lately.
That's a story
that is very
familiar
to a lot of us
these days.
This young mother took the
baby shopping
the other day
to buy some
groceries
they needed--but
couldn't really
afford.
.
The clerk
rang up her food
at the checkout
and she reached into
her purse
for her wallet.
It wasn't there.
Had she lost it?
Then she remembered--
she had left it home
in another bag.
The clerk told her
she could call her
husband
to read the
debit card number
over the phone.
The card
wouldn't work.
The clerk told her
they could suspend
the transaction
and she could go home
to get her money.
With a red face,
and almost in tears,
she decided that's
what she'd better do.
But then
an angel
appeared.
The woman behind her
in the line said,
"Oh I'll just pay
for these,
no problem!"
My friend
protested,
but the woman
said, "No really,
I'll pay for it!"
and swiped her
card.
An angel with a debit card.
Don't you wish you could be one of those?
